Crow Indians Haywood & Mary Lou Big Day
Haywood Big Day is a traditional elder from the Crow Nation in Montana. He is a singer, dancer, and maker of traditional feather bonnets, breast plates, parfleche, beaded bags, etc. He often is called upon to officiate pow-wows and other ceremonies. He is highly respected.

Mary Lou Big Day also is a traditional elder and dollmaker from the Crow Nation. Their son is named Derek Big Day. The whole family are master makers of traditional Crow arts. The family is honored and recognized worldwide. Mary Lou is the 2008 Artist of the Year, awarded by the national Indian Arts & Crafts Association. She also was honored this year by the Governor of the State of Montana.
